cHASER / METAL WORKER

Role and Responsibilities

 

We are looking to add a new metal worker to our existing team. The role is a full-time position of 40 hours per week on a PAYE basis. This is great opportunity for an enthusiastic metal worker, passionate about sculpture and keen to learn from the best in the industry.

 

The role primarily involves the welding, chasing and finishing of bronze sculptures ready for client inspection. A good eye for detail and understanding of form is essential. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, communicate well with others and be able to demonstrate they can work by themselves and within a team to complete works on time to a high standard.

 

They will also be able to work in a clean, organised manner, with respect for all department tools and following any health & safety measures without issue.

 

Experience

 

Candidates must have some experience of TIG welding and metal working/chasing. However 

training will be provided for the right candidate.

FOUNDRY TECHNICIAN

Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a foundry technician in our knockout and pour departments for immediate start. The role is a full-time position of 40 hours per week on a PAYE basis.

Predominantly they will be using water and sand blasting machines to remove ceramic shell from castings, fettling bronzes preparing them ready for metal working. Any applicant must be physically strong as this can be a physically demanding role. 

 

Enthusiasm, and a strong desire to improve quality and problem solve are the key requirements we are looking for in potential candidates.  The role may well involve other aspects of the Lost wax casting process; however, this will become a key role in refining our pouring systems, organising, and setting up Bronze and Aluminium pours. 

Experience

Experience would be ideal, but not essential as training will be given. 

ASSISTANT SHELL WORKER

Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a assistant Shell Worker for immediate start. The role is a full-time position of 40 hours per week on a PAYE basis.

Bronze Age Fine Art Foundry is looking for an Assistant Shell Worker for our Ceramic Shell department.

We are looking for someone who is available and ready to start immediately following a successful initial trial.

Any experience of lost-wax casting and the ceramic shell process would be ideal, but not essential as training will be given.

Any applicant must be physically strong as this is a daily physically demanding role.

We require someone punctual, hardworking, with lots of enthusiasm to learn, and a strong desire to improve the quality of our casting and shell processes.

The role will also entail learning other processes connected such as dewaxing and taking part in the bronze and aluminium pours themselves.

Experience

Experience would be ideal, but not essential as training will be given.

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to head up our Mould Department. The role is strictly full time and will involve producing moulds made from silicone rubber and fibreglass jackets suitable for the lost wax method of casting. In addition, you will be required to produce various castings in materials such as bronze resin, resin, jesmonite and plaster.

You will also feel comfortable providing training to other members of staff, maintaining stock levels and planning for on-site moulding jobs at artist studios for example. You will also be expected to maintain high standards of organisation, cleanliness and health & safety and implement new measures where appropriate.

The role will suit someone forward thinking with a desire to be the very best in the industry and drive the department forward in all areas through innovation.
