wax Technician

Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Wax technician to take charge of our Wax Department.

This position is full-time; part-time applications will not be considered. 

This position will involve painting waxes into silicon rubber moulds, slushing, and demoulding, and then the delicate work of working the wax seam to ensure all the detail in the wax is identical to the original sculpt supplied to us by the artist

Experience is essential, and the following attributes are key:

wax supervisor 

Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Wax Room Supervisor to take charge of our Wax Department.

This position is full-time; part-time applications will not be considered. 

Applicants should have at least 3 years experience in a senior position and be proficient in making and spruing waxes for lost-wax casting.

Responsibilities will involve:

  2. Ensure high standards and the best quality of work 

  3. Train new members of staff to a high level

  4. Monitoring stock and ordering materials

  6. Develop innovations with regard to methods, techniques and materials

METAL / CHASE TECHNICIAN

 

Role and Responsibilities

We are looking to add a new metal worker to our existing team. The role is a full-time position of 40 hours per week on a PAYE basis. This is great opportunity for an enthusiastic metal worker, passionate about sculpture and keen to learn from the best in the industry.

The role primarily involves the welding, chasing and finishing of bronze sculptures ready for client inspection.

 

A good eye for detail and understanding of form is essential. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, communicate well with others and be able to demonstrate they can work by themselves and within a team to complete works on time to a high standard.

They will also be able to work in a clean, organised manner, with respect for all department tools and following any health & safety measures without issue.

 

Experience

Candidates must have some experience of TIG welding and metal working/chasing. However 

training will be provided for the right candidate.

shell, pour AND knock out Technician

Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a foundry technicians in our shell, pour, knockout, fettle departments for immediate start. ​This position is full-time; any part-time applications will not be considered.

Predominantly they will be using water and sand blasting machines to remove ceramic shell from castings, fettling bronzes preparing them ready for metal working. Any applicant must be physically strong as this can be a physically demanding role. 

They will also be able to work in a clean, organised manner, with respect for all department tools and following any health & safety measures without issue.

 

Experience

 

Experience is advantageous , but not essential as training will be given
