Scaling Up or Down

Bronze Age is able to provide services to scale up from your maquette to life size or twice life size. Whichever scale you are looking to increase (or decrease) to, we are able to assist.
The CNC milled scaled pattern produced, can be sanded and shaped, or coated in a layer of clay, wax or plaster should the artist wish to apply further finishing and can save weeks or months of producing armatures and large scale clay originals.

In the images shown you can gain an insight into the variety of potential works we can assist you with: the horse and rider sculpture involved taking a scan from life size which was increased to life and half scale and modelled to fit the wax cast of the horse before casting into bronze. The ‘mona lisa’ sculpture was produced in life plus ¾ scale, and both reduced down and increased in scale.
